Why Serbs say that arabic/turkish influence in serbian pop culture is gypsy?

It doesnt look gypsy to me. I think it is unrelated to gypsies, independent of gypsies. I think it is because they romantice it and like it. I see blacks in the video too, so it will look more east/oriental like in 300 where blacks play persians.

Serbs that listen to this garbage are retarded. I guess it's turbofolk. We also have Oriental influenced manele music in Romania as the most popular genre and it makes me cringe when I hear it. It's also seen as Gypsy music here, because almost all performers are Gypsies.

Most Serbs listen to this one way or another. Serbs who dont listen to it, listen western music and call that gypsy but it is not gypsy. Gypsies are musicians so they are overrepresented in music industry but they didnt invented it. They just perform and because it is part of that general culture, that most like it. If most would consider it garbage gypsies couldnt get popular with it. And in Serbia there are lots of gypsies, but it is serbian in origin, the music, and in absolute numbers serbs are way more then gypsies, but in relative numbers gypsies might be overrepresented. In other parts of the world, gypsy music sounds different. More with brass, and violin performance, then turkish.

Well I think most Romanians also like manele or at least a very large part, but I still think it's garbage. They usually listen to other genres too, like "muzica populara" which is a kind of a music genre based of traditional music, but different from it and more commercial in form, while some listen to Western pop and rap which I also think is largely crap. Numerical majority does not equal good taste or wisdom.
