This is Bosniak sample from Sarajevo or central Bosnia according to my information.

"Bosnia Bosniaks" with high Baltic also appear in Zenica and Prijedor. Those from Cazinska Krajina and Herzegovina are different, I'm not sure about eastern Bosnia, I didn't see enough samples from there.

The Sarajevo samples are probably mix of all regions, and mixed with Serbs and Croats too, the Bosniaks from villages close to Sarajevo are probably different.

Do you have idea why several Herzegovinian Bosniak samples which you posted on other thread are quite southern shifted (similar as Sandžakians on average if i remember well)?

It's just one sample, he could have some non-local ancestry, more samples are needed to know for sure.

What it is said among Bosniak academics about this, is that the Bogumili were not only oppressed both from Catholics and Orthodoxs (as explained in the video); but that their beliefs were similar to many Islamic precepts; allowing them to convert easily :

- They were monotheist, rejecting Trinity (~ Islamic principle of Tawhid)
- They made ablutions in order to purify themselves (~Islamic ablution = abdest or wudhu)
- They were ascetic, and didn't eat meat or drink wine (~ no pork, no alcohol)

I really doubt that these Semitic customs developed in Europe independently.
These customs came with islam and always were strange to these areas.
