Well you are in AmeriKwa so why say anything at all ? In Dutch culture you might be able to get away with that being that Dutch culture believes in bespreekbaarheid and egalitarianism. American culture is some kind of bastardized hellish Anglo knockoff it has the worst aspects of English and German culture fused together or something , I dunno.

Let me speak plainly. However close the bond of friendship, love, marriage—a man, ultimately, looks to himself, to his own welfare alone; at most, to his child's too. ^ Basically, talking to them at all unless they initiated the conversation was not wise.

Like it or not, masks and vaccines have been politicized. They shouldn't be but they are.
It is prudent for a store to remain apolitical.
    Why is this difficult?

Even outside an infected person can infect others in close distance, especially when talking. Since they were 3 people makes sense they would wear masks.

A couple of months back, I was carrying two bags of groceries to my car. Some Mr. Correct snowflake do-gooder thought he needed to inform me that I didn't need my mask outside. I don't know if he couldn't see that I had my hands full or he just didn't care. I told him he should keep himself to himself and didn't break stride. I figured, I had to deal with this A-hole once in my life, whereas this A-hole has to deal with himself 24/7.

And then I acted like a Karen and went to the manager to complain when I could have just left and gone home.

Masks do little if anything, they actually trap and spread more germs.
