Ive been going to the gym for 5 years now and it varies time to time. All I can say is, if a woman stares at you while you workout, or asks you if she can use a machine despite knowing no one is using it, shes in to you. Just by her coming up to you and asking a silly question like that, you can start a conversation and go on a date. Not sure why guys make it so difficult on themselves.

Some jbs have talked to me before, one is med-looking and the other one is a cute mulatta, but I don't know like... still don't know what to talk to them aside from small talk haha, today I talked to them about uni and shit.

What he said and what Babak (post #31) said is true. She will give you some signals. She will probably look at you, ask if she can use machine, ask how much is that you are lifting etc. The rest is up to you. Small talk is all you need and you also need to throw some stupid compliments along the way. Like how many years have you been going to the gym, it shows you workout. I don't remember seeing you, it is strange not to notice such attractive girl by now etc. You don't need to be some cool guy or shit like that, but you need to be a guy she can be comfortable around (try to smile often) and as your relationship develops you will move on some more dirtier words, compliments. That can be in 1 hour, 5 days, 1 month. Depends on you, depends on how good are you at reading signals and if you are gonna freeze or not.

I believe you, but the ratio of men and women at the gym highly favors women. She gets to pick out of the dozen of men that go to the gym while the guy has to hope that they are a part of the 1-2% of eligible bachelors. It's the juggernaut effect. She gets to pick good-looking guys above her pay grade because the good-looking guys lack abundance in their current setting.

Depends on the gym too. A smaller 24 hour gym has more women aggressively pursuing than larger gyms in my experience.
