I'm sure most of these "amerindians" are 80% white or something like that.

    It also depends on tribe.

For example Cherokees were very mixed with whites (and with blacks) even before their removal to Oklahoma.

But for example the Navaho Nation is very pure-blooded, and in 1930 it was reported to be 97% pure-blooded:

Sounds like a change in reporting and how some groups recognize others as natives rather than a change in demographics. Could also be from increased immigration from Central and South America.

But also there was a big undercount of Native Americans in 2010 census (and probably in all previous censuses too):

    https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...-2020-n1105096

"In 2010, American Indians and Alaska Natives living on reservations were undercounted by 4.9 percent (...) Native Americans feel like they don't count. And they might not be wrong — they are the most undercounted group on the U.S. census, which means they get significantly less of much needed funding from crucial federal programs, scant improvements on reservation infrastructure and health care, and even the loss of political representation."

Are these censuses in Native American areas all voluntary? Then it's another problem. What is the incentive to undercount by such a small number otherwise? 4.9% count difference does not impact nearly 100% growth in population that is identified or self-identifies as a Native American. Probably more people who are just saying they are and tribal groups laxing on what is considered native combined with replacement migration into the USA from the countries further south with more actual natives from them.

Most of "Hungarians" are much more than 80% white (Slavic, Germanic, etc.) and much less than 20% Proto-Magyar/Turanic.

Most Turanids are essentially "white," but that word means nothing anymore in the west besides "bad person." Most Hungarians will have less than 10% Central Asian DNA and less than 5% East Asian DNA. Arriving Hungarians were not some group of Japanese purebloods with O Y-DNA. Hungarian ethnogenesis had most Hungarians as very mixed. Proto-Hungarian groups were mostly genetically sourced from Central Asian Turkic tribes, hence the names of the seven tribes of the conquerors and the three Kabar tribes that joined us.

Why do you think so? I agree that most of them are mixed, but why 80%?

Facts are that in late 1800s and early 1900s censuses Indians were undercounted because many of them preferred to hide their identity, and also many white census clerks refused to count people as Indians based on arbitrary judgments of their appearance. What we observe now is "coming out of the closet" by those who were hiding their Native origins.

Of course, Indians also have higher birth rates than non-Native population.
