What’s your purpose?

For religious people this will be easy to answer because god has solved this question for you. But from a secular view, what is your personal purpose/motivator in life? What keeps your head in the game? Or is the seeking of purpose a mental problem? A side effect of greater intellect? And we should let our hormones and drives dictate our purpose in a primal sense and lead the life of an animal?

That’s why I make threads about buttholes, but sometimes I wonder about other things. For example when seeing other people I wonder what they are thinking, they seem so happy, but after talking to them their thought patterns go about as deep as someone diagnosed with micropenis trying to make love to an elephant. So I start to wonder if higher thinking and seeking purpose is just a autist trait that results in mental masturbation with no results.

Sounds corny but the solution for me was to be of service to others. My career is inextricably intertwined with that concept.

It’s not corny because from their work is where most men find their purpose, feeling useful and needed is obviously part of the hierarchy of needs. But imo (obviously not trying to change your mind about this because it works for you) that’s not a greater all encompassing purpose of existence. For me I question the sincerity of those who find my utility useful and whether that energy I give will be returned to me from them.
