I know, there are taller and shorter individuals in every people, but the average, proportions and typical height are variable by ethnicity.

When ranking, start from your observations, it should be a non-scientific equation.

The next people are:
Hungarians
Sicilians
Montenegrins
Danes
South Germans (including the Austrians, too)
Romanians
Poles
English
Russians
Serbs (inculding the Bosnian Serbs, too)
Portuguese
North Germans

You couldn't include these minority groups, like Jews or Gypsies, but these people are generally short.

When comparing the same age interval, the height of Europeans is surprisingly similar - the average vary in a narrow +/- 3 cm, or somewhere there.

Pretty sure the Dutch are significantly taller, even if it's only a centimeter or two difference. You can find many people who are 6'7 in the Netherlands but not in North Germany or Denmark I think. Have you been to these countries, and are the North Germans and Danes really as tall as the ethnic Dutch? I would really like to know

According to that research from 2006 Serbia is 180.9 cm. Ethnic Serbs are little taller on average because in Serbia are probably included minorities and all minorities in Serbia are shorter than Serbs. Plus BiH and Montenegrin Serbs are integral part of Serbian ethnicity and they are taller on average than Serbs from Serbia.
