I never wanted Finland to become part of Russia, it was widely autonomous during the Empire (becoming part of Russia as a result of Russian-Swedish territorial wars) and I see no problem it's gone afterwards, the European lands of Russian Empire I care the least (just like about Eastern Poland who tf needs it as part of Russia?).

I think that Finnish people would be Northern Swedes today if they stayed one country.

In the same way Northern Russians are a part of the Russian people.

1.) Does Krelm share your thoughts?
2.) If you would disagree with Krelm, will Krelm hear/care about your thoughts or your kinds (Russians) thoughts?
3.) Do you have power over Russian army (your military/soldiers)?

If you answered No to all 3 ... ask yourself why your personal opinion should matter something to me (or my kinds)?

I do not think that whole Finland would be as ''Torneå/Haaparanda'' area today (people in Sweden's side speaking ''Meänkieli''). Or like ''Pykeija area'' (Norway) today.
Especially as keeping minds how liberal Sweden has become. But for sure Swedish language would have stronger position in whole country. Not just coast areas.

Those years incl. good time, bad times and very bad times. It is sad and unfair as that this small country will always suffer as the big boys will start to behave like bastards. History repeats itself. We have been moving on that direction again already some time now. Right now the whole eastern border (all the border crossing points are closed by Finns) as Russians started to transported African refugees into Finland's customs (11/2023). The gas pipe and information cable (between Estonia - Finland) were destroyed on the bottom of Baltic sea (9/2023) etc. And these ''events'' will continue in the future.
Happy birthday Finland! I like the soap that the Finns make out of pine tar. And they make some excellent firearms!
And they made some great mobile phones as well

Do you think that NATO membership is a good idea? Is Finland still independent if it is part of NATO and has to follow orders?

I guess that depends what you mean by ''independent''? For me it is not just a word(s) or nice celebration talks, or what is written in some agreements/papers. It is just and only how freely Finns can decide their own matters. In real life. Period! And here, even as the next might sound ''weird'' to some (not for Finns), in my eyes Finns are much more Independent today than ever since 1939. Finns were someway Independent also between 1918 -1939 (I guess one of the reasons Russians attacked to country ... they did not ''like'' that). Nope, NATO is far from being prefect, but again it is absolutely the best what Finns could have gotten. Finland's geographical position is ... lets put it like ... pretty challenging?

    Adding:
For example, what happened in Finland 1973 is really something ...country was ''neutral'' and not member of NATO. Plus that ''event'' is just one example in long list. Nope, in the case of Finland ... being independent and not allied ... those will not walk hand by hand.

You do not care your neighbors. None. Their rights or their wishes. They are just like ''air'' to you. Just like your own individuals front of big Russian Emipire/machine. And because of that, you (Russians) also feel it is your ''birth rights ?'' to threat your neigbors the way you like? That is the ''problem''. Has always been. Your neighbors see things pretty differently.
But the Finnish journalist Kosti Heiskanen doesn’t think so. He believes that Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen fell into senility at the age of 32 when he announced the production of heavy ammunition for the needs of Ukraine.
"You are afraid of Russia, you joined NATO and at the same time you intend to open the production of ammunition near the borders of Russia in order to kill civilians in Donbass and Russian soldiers. You are turning my country into a target! Why are you doing it?" - Heiskanen doesn’t understand.

According to him, Finland was dragged into NATO by deception. There was no referendum on the most important step in 80 years in the country. Politicians, explaining their decision, referred to the results of surveys of television channels - the same ones that, from morning to evening, non-stop, told their audience about “barbarians from the East.”

Those who were against it or at least suggested not to rush were simply silenced.

But the Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin, as a result of a special operation, received a million-dollar salary from a UK non-governmental organization and left Finland, now regularly appearing in gossip columns in a “stunning bikini.”

On the eve of Independence Day, Finance Minister Riikka Purra said that "Finland's economic performance looks weaker all the time" and acknowledged that the country is entering a recession that "will be deeper and longer than expected." According to the Minister of Finance, the government will probably have to decide on further cuts in social spending and an increase in tax collections as early as next spring.

    ***
And all this against the backdrop of a recession, an increase in bankruptcies and unemployment.
Of course, over the “well-fed” decades of friendship with Russia, Finland has accumulated economic fat, and it would be reckless to assume that Suomi’s economy will collapse in the coming years, but it will be necessary to give up the dream of a “welfare state.” Finland, which was a bridge between West and East, is turning into a logistics dead end.
