Psychiatrists are quacks and ideological oppressers under Capitalism as part of the ISA capitalist superstrucutre :


“As with psychiatrists, the many mental health workers in allied professions—such as the psychotherapists, psychologists, counsellors, and psychiatric social workers—who promote the more socially orientated approaches to mental illness, continue to stand by the validity of psychiatry’s knowledge base and for good reason: it is a discourse which furthers their own professional interests and legitimates their own “mental health” practices in a currently expanding market. Many scholars make the same mistake in arguing for such socially oriented approaches—they reinforce the psychiatric discourse as having validity where none has been established. (Cohen 2016)”

Psychologists, psychiatrists , and psy-professionals are not qualified to talk about the mind under Capitalism because they can't be objective only Marxist analysis through Sociology can claim the high ground in the analysis of 'mental disorders' or 'mental illness'. The all-encompassing psychiatric discourse tries to deny the social and political realities of late capitalism by attemptimg to place the focus back on the individual as the site of change rather than the community or society at large due to their subjective financial interests..

The Psychiatric bible of the the DSM is 98-99% or possibly 100% irrational and everything a doctor says about a persons' ‘pathological mental state’ is 100% illogical because :

The economic relations of human beings determine all other relations in Capitalist society material survival rather than the development of rationality and spiritual thinking forms the fundamental basis of human endeavour in Capitalist society. Capitalist industrial society has not created a radically new society of rational individuals endowed with free will, but has introduced a new form of industrial slavery which in many ways replicates the medieval feudal society (master/slave or lord/peasant-serf). Liberal ideas of “Freedom” in industrial society , including America, is a complete illusion created by a more complex set of societal relations in which political and legal institutions—designated by Karl Marx as part of the “superstructure” of capitalism— which reproduces and reinforces these economic relations and claims them as ‘just’ and ‘appropriate’.

‘Mental illness’ is not real it is a moronic middle class euphemism at best but cannot be a real pathology or disease. A brain can be healthy, sick, or diseased because the brain is a physical organ. The mind can be none of these things because the mind is not a thing.‘Minding’ is what the brain does. Of course , the pseudo-scientific the biological model of psychiatry tries to reduce the mind to the brain but this is illogical :


The American Psychiatric Association has admitted that after decades of effort and billions of research dollars had failed to produce even one biological marker or one physical test that could identify a ‘mental disorder.’The APA have also failed to produce a diagnostic system with distinct categories that do not overlap. Also, the APA have completely failed to discover a specific treatment for any ‘mental disorder’ listed in their Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Psychiatric Disorders(DSM).

No genetic cause has been confirmed for any ‘mental disorder,’. Although researchers pointlessly and feeble-mindedly continue to search for genetic factors. In the year 2017, the former head of the U.S.National Institute of Mental Health confessed this statement :

“I spent 13 yearsat NIMH really pushing on the neuroscience and genetics of mental disorders, and when I look back on that I realize that while I think I succeeded at getting lots of really cool papers published by cool scientists at fairly large costs – I think $20 billion – I don’t think we moved the needle in reducing suicide, reducing hospitalizations, improving recovery for the tens of millions of people who have mental illness.”

In fact in 2015, the American Psychiatric Association entrenched or cemented its commitment to biology with a brand new new logo featuring the human brain. This is highly ironic because when a biological cause is found for so clalled psychiatric ‘disorders,’ they can no longer be classified as such.

And if they currently claim to have found any efficacious medical treatment for ‘mental disorders’ or some genetic cause that does not prove anything :

In this comprehensive survey of 5,468 biomedical journals, we describe several features of editor-author relationships among which were the following: (i) an article output was sometimes dominated by the prolific contribution of one author or a group of authors; (ii) with time lagsto publication that were in some instances shorter for these prolific authors (when this information was available), and (iii) more than half of those prolific authors were typically members of the journal’s editorial board.
