This is not a leptorrhine nose, east asians in general also lack mid face forward projection and high nose bridge all "caucasian traits" their eye órbits and Brown ridge are also different being much more round.

Well, no way to actually measure his nose index from a random photo like that, but his nose is kinda leptorrhyne indeed, like, maybe slightly mesorrhyne... in regards to midface, some caucasians have almost no midface forward projection, mostly nordics that seem to have more midface projection.

Not an example of a south-european, but Zayn Malik have literally no midface forward projection, even tho he's mostly caucasian:

This reminds me of a tribal northeast Indian woman I knew. I always thought she looked quite Mediterranean. Could probably pass for some kind of Jew. She even had a hooked nose, very uncommon among her ethnicity.

Not sure about Med but plenty of East Asians do seem to be rather caucasoid, particularly the southern ones. In northeastern India, I often find people who barely look mongoloid, even in tribes that are heavily East Asian genetically.

Zayn does have it , take a better look and you would see "flatfaces" are common among east asians It is a combination of their most of the times non existant nose bridge and strong cheekbones, That IS bacically the opposite of what tou find in mediterraneans .

I think its because of yomon/paleo mongoloid influence. Their eyebrow regions are somewhat stronger, the eyes appear to have less distinct eyefolds, so they appear somewhat pseudo caucasoid

Watching some old japanese, chinese and south-korean movies, I have come to the conclusion that, taking the eyes out of the equation, some east-asians could probably pass as med... for example, take a look at Takeshi Kaneshiro, as He Zhiwu from "Fallen Angels":




He's not exactly panfaced, his nose is leptorrhine, he has bushy eyebrows, his forehead is not flat like that of most east-asians, literally the major thing that makes it obvious that he's east-asian is just his eyes.

But I would say that east-asians that look kinda med are still a minority.

If any Japanese fit in Europe, they would fit like alpinids or a mix of alpinids + east-europid, I think

Why particularly Med looking? You can say just Caucasoid featured, in which they can be. But I'd place them more in Turkmenistan and even Turkey as far as their pseudo Caucasoid features go. They can't fit more west than that!

Turkmenistan maybe but too mongoloid for Turkey.

There are much more Caucasoid looking East Asians than OP (Jomons), it’s not exactly good example imo. (but obviously he has some caucasoid features)

Former Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi has that "pseudo-European" vibe, though his facial features are Mongoloid, his wavy hair, skin color, overall bearing give him a pseudo-Mediterranean/Atlanto-Med vibe. I wouldn't say he is atypical, he looks super-Japanese, but also pseudo Western.
