I remember vaguely 12 years ago when I used to post on Thiazi, one guy said "since the Klan visited now many on here converted to the Klan". Thiazi was a German Nationalsocialist Germanic forum, similar to Skadi, a twin forum of Skadi. I wasnt online exactly always, and missed if someone from the Klan was on the forum, but I saw a guy saying it, I remember vaguely. Then some had Klan avatars, and Klan symbols, some of the German nationalists, before they used to be more pagan and nordicist oriented less Christian. So was that Klans magic?

Thiazi was the edgiest forum in Germany, with a lot of edgelords (not just far-right extremists), so it was not surprising. Boards like Thiazi and Großdeutsches Vaterland red-pilled a lot of people about Islam and non-white immigrants in Europe.

Ironically, at its height in the 1920's the Klan had been quite vocal in opposition to German immigrants, where the largest outcry against the German American Bund came from, published in the Klan publication The Fiery Cross.

On the other hand, Hitler did make broader public statements which expressed approval for the Jim Crow regime of the American South, and other Nazi publications likewise did positively of Southern racism.

But the Klan was "America First!" and the Bund were "Germany First!" That was going to complicate anything despite what they were, as their self-image was still one of patriotism and love of country, which was hard to comport with the image and mission of the German American Bund.

On an interesting note, a Klan inspired group, the Order of the Knights of the Fiery Cross, was founded in Berlin in 1925 by three German-Americans, it was quite short-lived, and had no real impact, being just one of many small groups that popped up during the Weimar period. Some members likely went on to join the Nazi Party, but there was no direct connection with the NSDAP.
