Default Are Kurds more closer to the Caucasus people or Iranians?

Are Kurds closer to people of the Caucasus like the Laz, Chechens, Georgians, Svan, Circassians....

....or the Iranian peoples like the Persians, Tajiks, Pashtuns, Lurs, Balochs, etc.

Apparently, from what I read, Kurds are more genetically closer to non-Iranic groups like the Caucasus peoples than to other Iranian peoples, despite being Iranian themselves! But perhaps you can prove this here. Answer properly. No whining!

Too bad B-Real/Hadouken does not post on TA any longer. That beautiful gentleman might have some good anecdotes pertaining to this thread.

Iranians though morphologically the Kurds will tend more in a Caucasian direction, being more robust with CM influence.

According to IBS Azeris, Lezgins, Kabardins (I think they’re related to Circassians) , Balkar, and Kumyk, and Georgians and Armenians are closest to Iraqi Kurmanji Kurds. Feyli Kurds a little different. It depends on the individual and whether we use 23andme, 1000G, HGDP or call Genome SNPs

The same IBS shows Kurds are closest to alot of Brahuis, Tajiks (especially Yaghnobi which I believe are the most Sogdian decended), Balochis, and some Pashtuns.

If Britain is closest to Iceland it doesn’t mean Iceland is closest to Britain because France is closer to Britain

Iranians. The Caucasus were owned by Iran until the 1800’s. The Qajars were moron rulers who lost the northern most areas. Not to mention Persian influence was heavily felt in Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Dagestan, as well to lesser extent in Chechnya and Circassia.

This thread is based on a stupid fucking premise, the idea that all the "Iranian peoples" are the same, which they are very clearly not. Kurds are close to Persians and very close to Lurs, Talysh, Gilaki, etc. Meanwhile the Tajiks, Pashtuns, and Baloch are further from them than any of the Caucasus peoples are.

There are also notable differences between the Caucasus peoples, with the Georgians being a steppe-less outlier and the Armenians being closer to Kurds and Azeris than north Caucasians.

You need to educate yourself badly.
