I don't hate Spanish, and Ive said before that I think you guys get a bad rep. But I dont want it overtaking here just as a german does not want italian or french. Whatever happened before in America is of no matter in this issue, the country here and now was founded from the mid east coast, British America, and that is where my ancestors settled. And they were English speakers before they got here.

However, the country was not always 100% British/English first because they rebelled, second, the United States has culturally inherited things from the Spanish empire, you have cities with Spanish names, you have the cowboy culture that is of Spanish origin, if Quebec were part of the US in you see from Canada are you going to ignore the French influence?

In general I cannot complain about my country because I have lived as I have wanted and I have had everything I could wish for and the small doubts or criticisms that I could harbor have been solved when I have traveled abroad.

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.
