    ???

The main and primary difference between Egyptians and Coptics as well as Palestinians is just SSA. You take that out and they are actually very similar. BUT, even 10-15% SSA makes a world of difference as far as where they plot. It is a very diverged component same as East Asian.

Possibly but he is writing nonsense. Equating Islam to Arab is nonsense and laughable. It’s the Christian groups that don’t consider themselves Arabs, although this depends on them and the individual. If what he is saying correct than Kurds and Turkmens would be considered Arabs but they are not. There has been violent clashes between Arabs and Kurds in Iraq and both are Muslim.Christian Bedouin’s in Jordan have much greater status than Muslim Circassian or Chechen, and Turkmens. Arab Christians in Iraq or those who identified as Arab were treated like any other Arab. The list goes on. As for Maronites they chose to identify as Phoenicians to justify their rule over Lebanon, and many of them are part Arabian especially from the Ghassanids or Qurashi. Yeah Arabians/Arabs can be of any religion. There are several Christian Bedouin tribes in Jordan and some in Syria are , the Akasheh, Hejazian, Haslaeh, Al-Twal, some Tayyid clans those are the biggest ones. No one cares that they are Christian lol. It’s more of MENA Christian whining. Interesting fact many Iraqi Turkmens are Roman Catholics. The whining seems to be mostly from Semitic Christians ME, though the Christian Bedouin mentality is different from theirs.

Up to 20% Egyptians mtDNA is Sub-Saharan, so calculating based on that would give about 10% Negroid admixture.

Ancient Egyptian mummy genomes suggest an increase of Sub-Saharan African ancestry in post-Roman periods
    https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms15694

Modern Egyptians share this profile but in addition show a marked increase of African mtDNA lineages L0–L4 up to 20% (consistent with nuclear estimates of 80% non-African ancestry reported in Pagani et al.17). Genetic continuity between ancient and modern Egyptians cannot be ruled out by our formal test despite this sub-Saharan African influx, while continuity with modern Ethiopians17, who carry >60% African L lineages, is not supported (Supplementary Data 5).

Which I guess is consistent with the MDLP K14 spreadsheet estimating an average of 9%:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets..._kc/edit#gid=0

The Eurogenes K7 spreadsheet estimates more than that with an average of 17%:

I more or less see it that way. Egypt can be added to that list but everything west of it to me isn’t really the Arab world.
