Accidentally stumbled upon a curious, but little-known "thinker", he can be considered the predecessor of the "icon" of Western liberal thought Karl Popper. The first fanned anti-Soviet hysteria in the early 20s of the last century and long before the Nazis introduced the concept of "subhuman", and the second, 20 years later, laid the philosophical foundation of the Cold War, which, it should be noted, continues on the same basis, but against Russia. Meet Lothrop Stoddard.
Theodore Lothrop Stoddard (1883-1950) - a prominent eugenicist and important figure in the contraceptive movement of the first half of the 20th century, co-founder of the American Birth Control League (1921), member (https://sanger.hosting.nyu.edu/about...anization_abcl) of the Board of Directors of this League, inveterate racist, a member of the Ku Klux Klan, a clinical Russophobe, the author of the concept of "Under-Man", which the German Nazis adopted as "subhuman" ("Untermensch"), he was especially worried about the problem of low fertility rate among the "upper" classes and high - among the "lower" ones.
In 1922, Stoddard wrote a small book, The Revolt Against Civilization: The Menace of the Under Man (http://groupelavigne.free.fr/stoddard1922.pdf). In it, the word "subhuman" is used in the context of the October revolution of 1917 in Russia, and it itself is called "the rebellion of the subhuman" and "the loaded gun of an organized uprising against civilization." About a third of the text is devoted directly to criticism of the revolution, the rest is devoted to eugenics and related topics, as well as attacks on syndicalism. The word “Bolshevik” is used 124 times, “Russia”, “Russian”, “Russians” - 150 times. He will define the Russians as a "backward" people (benighted Russians). In general, the little book is militant and provocative, encouraging aggressive action. In fact, it is identical to Karl Popper's book The Open Society and Its Enemies (1945), only the forms differ. Excellent book analyzing Popper in detail is here (https://xn----8sbalcgsi5aih6o.xn--p1...oniya-maslov-v). We can say that the English American Stoddard inspired the German leaders of the Third Reich to invade the USSR and genocide the Russian people, and his Jewish follower Popper philosophically substantiated the second wave of Western aggression - the outbreak of the Cold War. Which continues to this day, with the aim of "the final solution of the Russian question."
For a smart person, it is enough for not to trust "partners" from the West and not kiss with them for the foreseeable future. This is their dogma and guide to action for centuries.“The question arises about the nature of the Russian people. The Russian people are predominantly made up of primitive racial breeds, some of them, especially the Tatars and other Asian nomads, are clearly "wild" tribes that have always demonstrated an instinctive hostility to civilization. Russian history has a series of eruptions of innate barbarism ... From a historical point of view, the current Bolshevik coup manifests itself mainly as an instinctive reaction against the attempt to civilize Russia, begun by Peter the Great and continued by his successors. The Russian spirit constantly protested against the process of "Westernization", these protests emanate from all classes of Russian society ... It is no coincidence that Russians were in all extreme forms of revolutionary trends, it is no coincidence that "nihilism" is basically a Russian invention. Bakunin is the genius of anarchism, and Lenin is the brains of international Bolshevism ... Bolshevism is the philosophy of the subhuman ... Bolshevik Russia is just the standard-bearer of the uprising against civilization ", - Lotrop Stoddard, Revolt against civilization: the threat of the subhuman (pp: 132, 133 , 163, 220).
According to Stoddard's logic, the desire of the oppressed class in the capitalist system for social justice, for giving workers more rights, for limiting the lawlessness of big business, and finally for shifting this unjust system towards socialism and satisfying the interests of the people is something "subhuman." Finding a person with such views on the same team with the "socialist" Margaret Sanger is impossible to imagine. But political prostitution is ubiquitous. Here's an example.
I hope they died in terrible convulsions.
And how lucky the country of the Soviets was with Stalin, Beria and Kurchatov with their comrades-in-arms.
Spoiler!
