LOL that's what you told me and you even mentioned the surname, which sounds Polish. You cannot constantly modify your grandfather's ethnicity depending on whether you are on your period or not, lmao.

    Also, 23andMe gave you Poland...

It is misleading to talk about national architectures, because, for instance, possibility for an authentic Baltic architecture was wiped away and replaced by Germans. We can speak about classic trends of architecture.

Trakai Island castle has nothing to do with Germans, but yeah it is an example of adoption of European Christian Gothic style architecture by Lithuanians.

exactly I was gonna just put Prussian or Teutonic architecture but this Gothic architecture can be found among castles and buildings that were not necessarily built by the Teutonic knights although practically all or most were occupied by them at some point.

LOL, I don't think so, Gothic architecture was all over Europe (except Orthodox countries).

But for example Visby was a Teutonic city at some point. If I remember correctly, Teutonic knights bought the island of Gotland rather than occupying it with use of force.

They also had an outpost in Venice:

Read about the castles of Poland. Most were occupied by the Teutonic Knights at some point if not built by them.

Absolutely not, because Teutonic knights did not invade so deeply into Poland. They only occupied northern regions of Poland.

Also, after ca. year 1350 AD they were on defensive and trying to repell Polish and Lithuanian attacks against their territories.

Exactly. Pls keep this "confession" in mind. So no reason for exaggerated krzyzacy tales for later periods.
