Can I obtain permanent residence in a country other than Italy?.
Yes, it is possible. For example, if I have an Italian passport and I want to live in Spain permanently, I can get the residency after completing the regulatory time in this country.

This is after 5 years of living in that country. In the example we are talking about Spain, but it is the same in any other nation that belongs to the European Union.

There are also special circumstances that allow to obtain the permanent residence before that time.

This comes up because I was seeing in the networks an Argentinian girl who had moved to live in Spain and commented that she has been able to do so because she has an Italian passport, it must be because she has some Italian ancestor, she commented that she preferred to live in Spain than in Italy.

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.

    Puedo tener 3 nacionalidades?

Refugees or gold diggers. The ones who got the EU passport due to ius sanguinis, go to Spain mostly.

They can go to different E.U. countries with one of the passports, look at this girl with an Italian passport who preferred to live in Spain. Maybe there are some statistics.

They could be misleading... As Periko said once, most of the "Italians" living in Spain must be argies with an italian passport.
