Actually, I consider that the role of the vaccines in the decline of great illnesses of the past to be far from obvious. Of course, charts have to be interpreted cautiously, but still, to me, it seems that the vaccines came each time “after the battle”. Here are some examples.
Diphtheria (the red arrow indicates the beginning of mass vaccination):
Measles:
Tetanus (the red arrow indicates the beginning of mass vaccination):

Well done Boris Johnsson and Britain!
"Boris Johnson has announced the end of all Covid measures introduced to combat the Omicron variant – compulsory mask-wearing on public transport and in shops, guidance to work from home and vaccine certificates – from next week.
The prime minister also told the Commons that the legal requirement on people with coronavirus to self-isolate would be allowed to lapse when the regulations expired on 24 March, and that date could be brought forward.
To cheers from some on the Conservative benches, Johnson announced an immediate end to the need for pupils to wear masks at secondary schools. [..]"

Yeeesss...as sheep as it can get, why do u think it was possible a 45 year dictatorship?
Also the average cultural level is not high, people basically get their information from the official tv channels and love to go to restaurants with the family or friends so let's get vaxxed or else we can't eat out etc ..
On the positive side, there aren't many covidiot fundamentalists or hostility towards non vaxxed. To turn the vaccines mandatory is not even up to debate for the coming government elections on January 30.

I see. It’s nice that the Portuguese don’t show this horrible hostility towards the unvaxxed. It’s really frightening here to see the hatred of the covidiots towards them. Actually, I’m not surprised to hear that about the Portuguese, they are known for being soft people.
By the way, last Sunday, I went to the European demonstration “Europeans United For Freedom” in Brussels, against covid measures, and there was a Portuguese representative who made a speech, a certain Vicky Ketion. Do you know her? She doesn’t have a Portuguese name, but she really seemed, from her speech, to be a Portuguese patriot.
