    Haha I thought Echthgoyen was a Russian when I saw him on tv.

    Is Uchôa a Basque surname? Its very common here.

    I never heared such a surname.

    Closer one I know is Ulloa, and is a Galician surname.

    Uso(a) is dove in basque, but I have never heard that surname if it exists it must be very rare.

    I had a coworker who had a second surname Usunariz ( literally it would be like" the oak in the dove") but that surname has an archaic form of Basque, nowadays it would be said "usoan haritza".

    "Usoa" is used in modern times as name for women.

    I think Uchôa also can appear as Uxôa. Strange the notification of your answer does not appeared to me.
