For me someone into such topic would care more about meaning of life, God, afterlife, etc than political matters. Yourself implied you don't care as long as society conforms itself to a good model.

It depends how its defined, existential questions are answered by religion to me but I dont stop to seek for religious evidence or views to existential questions within a religious framework only and think they should be more spreaded into the public and should be taken in consideration in every aspect in life.
I do not really question the religion so in that sense you think it contradicts having existential questions?
