I am originally from Santa Fe province.
And about Brazilian state of SC, I went to Floripa, Camboriu, Blumenau, Itajai, Itapema, Bombinhas and Porto Belo, but to be honest I knew those places in just only 4 trips.
Apart of that I don’t know the west part of SC….

Santa Fe is very Euro in its southern and central area but the north of the province is quite more mixed but of course depending where, the eastern side of the north (ie Reconquista) is very Euro while the west side of the north (ie Ceres) is quite more mixed, the same the central area of the north (Margarita) have many mixed population and a good amount of whites but very balanced same to Ceres area.
Rosario and Santa Fe are the biggest cities of the province (Rosario is the third of the country), and they are majority white but with a good amount of mixed people too.

I think Santa Fe and Santa Catarina should be very similar, or may be SC a bit more Euro but not for too much.
The big difference probably is that although people from Santa Fe has some variety of origins, the basis is mainly Spanish and Italian.
It has also a good amount of swiss, croatian, Irish and ashkenazi Jewish descendants but it doesn’t have that huge amount of Germanic and Slavic descendants as SC has.

So… in my opinion they are about equal or a bit more Euro SC, and at the same time Santa Fe has a mainly south Euro basis while SC’s seems to be more Pan Euro.

Although option “about equal” doesn’t exist so vote for SC, even it would be very similar I think it should beat Santa Fe for 1 to 3%…

Santa Catarina is the most European region in Latin America, but at the same time all parts of Santa Catarina are less European than the northern parts of Rio Grande do Sul. I believe that in parts of Rio Grande do Sul you can still find some towns with >95% European DNA on average while in Santa Catarina you have a large proportion of ''White Brazilians'' with some degree of admixture (5-15%) and less full or near full Europeans (more than 95% European).

I have my doubts if Santa Catarina is the whitest place in Latin America...many isolated regions of Argentina, Uruguay and even southern Chile must be as or more European.
