In other words, Czechs generally do not cluster with Germans from present-day East Germany, they only cluster with easternmost Germans with origin from areas of present-day Poland.

Therefore the border between green areas and blue areas in my map is correct.

Actually, Beeskow can be added to green, if we want to be super detailed.

No. Germans who are genetically close to Czechs are not similar to Poles. Easternmost Germans plot with Lithuanians, not Czechs.[/QUOTE]

Pure unadmixed Czechs are overall more eastern/Slavic than east Germans btw. And Sudeten Germans are actually not identical with Czechs, they are more western. Those from Moravia are even more western, they descend from Franconian areas for example. Old Czech averages included many people with some degree of German ancestry.

Ukrainians were part of Poland-Lithuania longer than they were part of Russia.

A large part of Ukrainians also lived in Austria-Hungary.

I don't think history matter that much. Croatia did not share political history with rest of Balkans until 20th century, but now it is SE Euro country, you can be sure about that.
Living standard, way of life, pop culture or even politics matter way more in current times. And climate influences way of life greatly too ofc.

these historical belongings etc are autism in global world.

Poles themselves range genetically from Lithuanian-like in the Northeast to Czech-like in the Southwest.

And PCA shows Polish regions separated from east Germans (and Czechs)

Maybe because Polish averages are not perfect, and because you don't have Moravian average. Few German regions in your PCA plot with Poles though (incl. German_East_Prussia_Masuria and German_Upper_Silesia). Also you still did not add regions such as Neumark, Grenzmark, or Germans from Posen.

I have Moravian samples, they are like Slovaks. Rothaer decided not to use Germans from Poland proper because they are secondary population and descend from different regions.
Polish averages were updated very recently, they are fine. With your debating there will never be perfect average so pointless to discuss that.

Poles are mostly Slavic in origin and not much else.
