Why do Iranians look more southern than Levantines although they are more northern by DNA?

What's with this sudden obsession with Iranians and co all of a sudden? Most people have never met an Iranian in their life yet seem like experts . They honestly don't look southern compared to levantines , although levantines are Alot more homogenous since they occupy a much smaller land mass .

Firstly we don't know what the Syrian nor Iraqi sample consist of . Secondly you simply CANNOT use these distances to determine actual genetic distances between two populations or inviduals .

People like yourself who are not from the area think they must be the same or similar because they border each other but to us locals there’s significant differences. Iraqis are quite a bit more Indian shifted than Syrians and Levantines. This has to do with the history of Iraq the eastern part of which was for a very long time part of the Persian Empire and Baghdad was in fact depopulated by the Mongols.

An Indian user here thought many are similar to Indians on another guess ethnicity thread.

I think more ENF and EHG makes you lighter whereas more Iran-N, IBM, SSA and maybe E. Asian makes you darker in general

Levantines are lighter than Iranians on average but I don’t think their bone structure looks more northern than Iranians. IMO, Iranians’ bone structure is more northern since they usually have smaller eyes, more robust cheekbones and more robust jaw than Levantines.
