Default Do Germans look more like Dutch people or Austrians?

As a whole I think they look more like Austrians due to shared Dinaric elements, but North-Western Germans look closer to the Dutch.

Dutch, most populated areas of Germany are in the north west.

Austrians imo, too much Dinaric/Meds, less Nordids etc to look more Dutch. Also a lot of Dinarics even in northwestern Germany, compare this to Dutch people, who are usually some kind of Nordo-CM/Borreby usually.

Westphalia and SW Germany are more densely populated, not to mention that when disregarding the city states like Berlin and Hamburg, the most populated states are in the southwest like Bavaria, which is the most populated state.

I would think SW Germans look more similar to Dutch, especially south Dutch, Berliners i am not sure, probably different to both Dutch and Austrians. i think only Bavaria has real similarities with austria, dont forget also that austria is more brunet and central-SE Euro influenced.

SW Germans would look more similar to Western Austrians than to any part of the Netherlands.

It depends on the region. Germany was once multiple countries and it reflects. Bavarians are completely akin to Austrians, even in language (Austro-Bavarian). They also have a large amount of Dinaric and Alpine people, as do the Alemannic Germans of the southwest and the Franconian peoples of the Rhine. Franconians (being Rhenish, Luxembourgish, Hessian, Franconian proper) are probably closer to Walloons, Northeast Frenchmen, and Southern Germans than to the Dutch in terms of phenotype. Northwest Germans like Saxons and Phalians are close to the Dutch as they share a predominance of Faelid, Anglo-Saxon, and Borreby phenotypes however. Eastern Germans have a far larger Baltic element due to Wendish admixture.
