Do Nordics tend to be less fat than Mediterraneans?

Nordics’ bodies are adapted to colder climate and in colder climates, people evolved to have higher metabolism rate in order to survive. Because of that, I think Nordics tend to have higher metabolism rate and therefore tend to be less fat, right?

Umm I actually reached the oposite conclusion . You can only have fast metabolism when there is a abundance of food sources. As in southern Europe and midle east( core mediterranean áreas ) the climate is better and you have more food more easily even in the winter.People with slow metabolism tend to put weight in those situations get unhealthy and unatractive and ended up out of the genetic pool. In northern Europe in the other hand slow mathabolism was beneficial for surviving as there are less food sources.
For example I am mostly mediterranean and my metabolism is very fast, i have a hard time gaining weight (as fat).

I would say colder climates requires more body fat. Alpines are the fattest.
