It is a borderline country, like Hungary is borderline Eastern Europe and Central Europe.

In Mongolia, in Bayan-Ölgii county, the population is over 90% Kazakh.

Nope East Asian. I don't even consider Kazakhs and Kyrgyz exactly Central Asians. Xinjiangs are Central Asian but live in East Asia.
