I am happy to be married rather than just to live together with my partner, because it’s more traditional. I like that I have a steady life of housewife and that my husband provides everything for the family.

Regarding parenthood, I have to confess I was not at ease with my daughter in the beginning. I suffered from a serious depression. Fortunately, my husband was there, being a fantastic father since the beginning. He got the “paternal instinct” before I got the “maternal” one. Now, I have a much more harmonious relationship with my daughter. But it’s not always easy to be a parent, to feel responsible for a child.

I've always wondered the reasoning for postpartum depression. There's no conceivable evolutionary advantage to experiencing such sensations shortly after the birth of a young one; I'm glad your husband was able to support you through such a time. You seem like you have a wonderful family.

Marriage and baby making sound like fun. Your wife is your friend that you get to have intercourse with. She also cooks and cleans for you and you can have adventures together.

Maybe if one were to venture back seven or eight decades ago in post-war America. North America and Western Europe have become secularized to the point that these maxims are rendered obsolete. I am not entirely sure as to the status of this issue in Central/Eastern Europe, and I know that pan-Asian societies are considerably more conservative.
