Western Ukraine and Ukraine out of the Western part are two different lands mentally, ethnically, genetically, culturally, religions differs in most of cases too. Western Ukrainians are the mix of Rusyn population and some mountain tribes like Hutsuls, Boyki, Lemki and few others, Hutsuls are of Vlach origin. Yep, I agree that Western Ukrainians are someway similar to Croats, not the Dalmatian and Istrian ones, but from Slavonia, Baranja, Medjimurje. Whole other Ukraine has nothing in common with Croatia. Sovetoids in Kiev who got Ukraine in 1991 decided to base their patriotism and nationalism on Western Ukrainian version which is totally alien for whole Ukraine out of the West. Personally, I consider 1939 when Stalin stole those regions to be the tragedy and one of numerous time bombs created by Communists.

Crimea would never return to Ukraine and this case should be fixed aswell, every grown-up person understands it.

Federalization is just a tool in Russia's hands to meddle into Ukrainian politics forever. Federalization of Ukraine, or Moldova, or whatever country where Russians have concocted a frozen conflict, is not considered by anyone.

Reading the memories of German officers in Yugoslavia and memories of Cossack troops commander says that Croat army was quite poor in military meaning:

Dana 1. marta 1944, grupa hrvatskih ministara posetila je Hitlera. Oni su pokušali da ubede firera (ali bez uspeha) – kako bi im on ispunio želje – da je sada stanje u Hrvatskoj mnogo povoljnjije. Hitler, takodje, nije izašao u susret hrvatskim željama u vezi sa isporukom oružja, jer, kako je firer podvukao, to oružje uglavnom završi u rukama partizana. Nije udovoljio ni hrvatskim molbama da se 1. kozačka divizija premesti van Hrvatske, jer su kozaci postali strah i trepet za hrvatsko stanovništvo. Hitler je podvukao da je kozačka divizija veoma pouzdana, da bi se u svakom slučaju borila protiv Engleza.
Dana 9. marta 1944. došlo je do sastanka Hitlera sa najvišim nemačkim vojnim i političkim predstavnicima u Hrvatskoj. Predstavnik Vermahta izložio je pred Hitlerom stanje u hrvatskoj armiji i kazao da je njena borbena vrednost mala. Na području dalmatinske obale, hrvatske vojne jedinice uopšte nisu za upotrebu, a jedini izuzetak predstavlja slučaj, kada njima komanduju nemački oficiri. Ukratko, sve hrvatske zahteve u vezi sa davanjem veće samostalnosti njenim vojnim i policijskim snagama, treba odbiti.
Ceo razgovor bio je olakšan činjenicom da je Hitler, koji je ranije bio sklon da prihvati mišljenje nemačkog Ministarstva spoljnih poslova, sada gledao na stanje u Hrvatskoj očima Vermahta. Kaše je na kraju susreta još jednom hteo da kaže nešto u korist hrvatskog režima, ali ga je u tome sprečio sam firer.

It can happen only if Ukraine would shrink into Western Ukraine by 1939 Soviet-Polish border.

Nah, most of them died in Stalingrad. Some of POWs were recruited in Yugo/commie army later, but these were mostly captured pilots as far as I know.
These legionares in Stalingrad almost all perished in battle.
