    Default Pigmentation PCAs

Wanted to make a PCA that combines ethnic hair and eye pigmentation stats, and if possible skin pigmentation, but that is much harder to find and quantify.

This is using other people's pigmentation stats, not mine, so don't shoot the messenger

PCA of ToeKneeHwins light hair + light eyes rates.

TKH's very light hair (Blonde/Red) + blue eyes rates

Combination of Xenophobic Prussian's Light Hair Category + TKH's Light Eyes category

Using the select few countries in the Bataille et al skin pigmentation study, Rates of Category I-III skin + Light Eyes & Light Hair.

Same as above but with XP's Med Spectrum category included.

Adding a phenotypical element to pigmentation:

TKH's Light Hair & Light Eyes + XP's Med Spectrum

TKH's Very Light Hair & Very Light Eyes + XP's Med Spectrum

XP's Light Hair & Med Spectrum + TKH's Light Eyes

Amateur studies are acceptable for eye color.

Amateur studies for hair color are doomed to be innacurate because shades of hair are harder to differentiate, especially based on photographies.

I'm inclined to think that XP tried to lightwash Germany.

    Long time lurker?

Even if they're inaccurate, one can hope they're at least somewhat equally inaccurate. What makes you think he tried to lightwash anyone? I agree with you that I don't believe Scotland is lighter-haired, or as blond as England, but it's not that far off.

Europe could use a bit of xenophobia considering the dire situation it is in.

I'd say X represents the combined score of lightness, Y represents the ratio of light hair to light eyes. e.g Austria is North because it has roughly equal light hair & eyes, while Ireland is South because it has an imbalance of high light-eyes and low light-hair.

This map shows blondness rates for more countries. At least Poland and Czechia. However I'm not aware of any single historical studies that measured more than one country, so it's probably a combination of more local studies. The problem with such combinations is that the standards are not necessarily the same. The definition of "blond type" probably varies in different studies, so these kinds of maps are less reliable if you ask me.

I'd say anthropometric measurements are more important than hair and eye color., in general Jews and Irish can have ethnic features. For instance, many Irish have big chisn, thin upper lips, noses of topographical complexity and hooded eyes whose eye lids seem to cross the pupils on a diagonal -- that is features almost too big for their faces.

One can talk of Irish and Jewish faces but one does not hear much about English, Scottish, Welsh Austrian, Polish, Swedish, German or Dutch faces.
