Many important drug dealers have historically been very european: el Chapo Guzmán, el güero Palma, Pablo Escobar, Carlos Lehder, Rodríguez Gacha, Orejuela brothers....

First of all, the "drug business" has an aspect of entrepeneurship: you need to invest money, have contacts, access to privileged information... The first drug dealers did not come out of the nothing, they already were engaged in commercial activities (legal or illegal) prior to the cocaine boom in the late seventies.

Secondly, in the case of Mexico the obvious answer is that most violent states are the ones bordering the USA, because there the cartels fight for gaining access to the "plazas", the points of smuggling drugs into the northamerican market. Other points of violence are ports, in which the southamerican drug enters to Mexico, mainly Acapulco, and by extension bordering regions of Guerrero and Michoacan. If the colombians cartels founded a way to smuggle drug into the USA avoiding terrestrial passages through Mexico (by airplane, boat, using a caribbean island nation as mid-point...), violence in Mexico would plummet drastically.

Thirdly, native americans, pure or almost pure, are not keen for criminality or violence, moreso when they live in their rural communities, they are mostly peaceful people. The criminality in Latin America is mostly a matter of mixed uprooted societies, mainly urban, where there´s no social unity and/or strong values. Even more when in the miscegenation mix there´s an african element, seemingly more prone to the violence.

Yeah, but more often than not those amerindians are the victims of crime there rather than the perpetrators (unless it is something like domestic violence or related minor scale incidents). The drug cartels aren't the only problem in the area, but also human trafficking rings as well (the so called coyotes), which levy hefty sums on the prospective immigrants in question.
