Well like it was said, N. Mexico because of the border and Colombia obviously because it has tons of rain forests where you can easily hide and control entire drug operations.

Geography plays a part as well. But if that’s the case why not southern Mexico, I mean it’s made up of rainforests too like Colombia

YEs geography does. That's a good question, but southern Mexico isn't that far away in the violent score. I think the safest parts of Mexico are basically its more central states.

Because like the first poster said, many of the Euro Mexicans are the ones perpetrating the violence. Look at many of the top cartel members, they have more Euro phenotype themselves. Europeans can be extremely violent too. Look at the way the Ndrangheta act in Italy for example.

Here in America the Irish and Italians gained infamy for being mobsters especially the Italians. The Europeans were ruthless in colonizing the Americas in of itself

As other Mexican posters have said the safest states are the southern ones were most of the indigenous population lives. The only reason they’ve gotten dangerous is because of all the human trafficking being done in those areas since that’s where many immigrants are coming from

Not really, Europeans being violent even in modern times isn’t a paradox, they just got a good image compared to Latin America.
