Dinant is not so big city located in south of the country quite close to France. Despite it's not very big city it has some nice spots to offer. Maybe it's not the place to spend whole week or something but it can be pretty nice spot for a weekend.

In the picture below you can already see some main spots of the city spots it is Collegiate Notre-Dame de l'Assomption(aka the highest building in the picture), Citadelle du Dinant which is visible in further and some nice colorful buildings at the shore of the river. And now more pics of the city

As it is located in Ardennes the area around the city is quite nice as well

It is also the city where the constuctor of saxophone Adolphe Sax came from. That's why it has some saxophone sculptures at the bridge

So remember the saxophone which means much in the music comes originally from Belgium so it's a bit more than just fries, beer and waffles. And I don't need to mention saxophone is hella important instrument in music history and afaik it doesn't have too much in common with Saxony.

If you would like to know a bit more about city here are some videos about Dinant

I would also like to mention the area has some local specialties.
One of them is of course beer, their brand called Leffe comes from the area quite close to city of Dinant

Second one are Couque de Dinant (English: Cake of Dinant) which basically are extremely hard, sweet biscuits made from flour and honey preformed in wooden forms before baking
