Germany has agreed to supply Ukraine with military assistance in the form of 5,000 helmets. It was reported on German TV back in 2014 that many Ukrainian soldiers prefer to add German insignia on their helmets, in the form of SS runes and swastikas.

My British male ancestors proudly served in the British Royal Air Force during World War II to help defeat Nazism.

One of my maternal great uncles was a young RAF pilot and a squadron leader who specialised in helicopters, cartography, and photography. He proudly received 2 medals from Buckingham Palace after his service in WW2, before spending the rest of his life teaching and giving lectures on helicopters. His father was also an RAF pilot during WW2.
