Loco-Motion is one of the few American pre-Beatles era songs that deserves to survive (along with Chris Montez Let's Dance and Del Shannon's Runaway) (1).

Kylie's version is flat out a masterpiece. But getting back in the 60's, the French version sung by Sylvie Vartan and released in France a few days after Little Eva's original (October 1962) was definitely much MUCH superior: (2)

Little Eva, The original is more earthy and soulfull.

Kylie's ok but essentially just lollywater popcover.

Some people became popstars from having good producers,songwriters and marketing oh and looking the part, and then in modern times "autotune".
