Dionysus or Di-Wo-Ni-So-Jo in Lineair B inscriptions also ruled the Hittites as king Tudhaiya III. Deukalion who share the same wine cult as Dionysus was king Tudhaiya II. The ancestor cult of both of these kings is known to archaeologists and Tudhaiya III's temple has even been found.
The cult was brought to Greece and Babylon and even India by the King Tudhaliya III.
Alexander the Great was God because he was Pharaoh of Egypt (Shishak V, Sekander) and a direct descendent of Zeus (Saasitepis, Sheshi) who was also Pharaoh of Egypt in 1674 BC, since the God of the bible was the deification of the Pharaohs of Egypt as shown by Jeremiah.
Alexander the Great conqured India and thus emulated Dionysus (Tudhaliya III, Thurgal, Tidal, Dagon, Tauro Kranos 1400 BC) but as ruler of Egypt he surpassed even him.
The interesting thing is that Zeus is called Sheshi by the Egyptians and Saasi-- by the Minoans which sounds very much like Sea. But the word Sea derives from the last part of Thalassa which was originally supposed to be Thalatta. The last part of Thalatta would have to go though the stage "tha" to become "ssa" and tha(s) could be interpreted as Theos or Deus.
Since Amenhotep II reigned at the time of the Deukalion flood which dates to between 1460 and 1400 BC and is linked to the Hittite king list since a Thurgal/Tudhalia ruled Phrygia and was known as Teucer to the Greeks that means that Dionysus was responsible for putting Amenhotep III on the throne in 1386 which was his first major victory and is what brought him to Godhood.
The first temple built in Greece to Dionysus was built by Melampus in the reign of Perseus in order to placate this God in about 1333 BC.
