They are not kidding when they say AI is gonna destroy a lot of jobs, even thot's jobs. As usual new disruptive technologies are always driven by things related to sex initially.

Not AI related but. If you look at improvement of video game graphics between 1995 and 2024, then we can conclude that by 2050 we will have video game graphics that will look indinguishable from real life.

AI, atleast in what the layman has seen of it, is overhyped, it's just glorified google creating the illusion of intelligence. Legit AI is possible but you need much more computing power and near endless data feed to create something substantial. That type of AI won't become mainstream for atleast another 100 years. As AI technology proliferates, the incremental benefits for adopters will decrease. The law of diminishing returns suggests that while initial investments in AI yield significant returns, the marginal gains tend to decrease as the level of investment continues to rise. People don't realise this

The human brain is an exascale computer (a billion billion floating point operations per second). This is about the computing performance of a large data center. In 20 years that computing power will be in the size of a desktop computer. It's no coincidence that the first AI models capable of human-like reasoning just came online in the past couple of years - this is because only now exascale computing became available to large tech companies. In 20 years the same computing power will be in every home - the social changes this will bring will be immense, we should prepare for it.
