Sure, if the Russia is meant to be transformed into a total war camp. They have men, but not endlessly from Urals. Some day Russia will need also Muscovites.

You are right that if Russia can keep on rotating men for years it will win. For that reason Ukraine has to make big offensives in a near future.

Russian air force is grounded because the Ukrainian air defence is too strong. Be sure that Russia would have willingly taken the air supremacy. Which one would be easier, to take down a 4x supersonic missile or a bomber or fighter with more limited speed?

It's a war of attrition, that's how Russians usually fight... Also, Ukraine was loaded with a very well made soviet era air defense system, why send out all you got in into the air?? and risk half of them to be shot down??? .. Also the well made trenches NATO/ Ukraine made in the last 8 years are no easy tasks..

Russia is in no rush, the whole concept of shock and awe was implanted into our heads by the Iraq/ Persian Gulf invasions..

Absolutely no high command staff is going to choose a war of attrition strategy if they can successfully run a short campaign.

Not Russian or anywhere.

They have done it badly, very badly, they keep making mistakes, and they underestimated their enemy from the beginning.

But yes, the longer the war is, the more it should benefit Russia. But it is not something chosen no matter how much Russian propaganda repeats it over and over again.

No country in the world has the natural resources that Russia has to keep a war going for decades.

Oil has no future, even China is ruling oil out. It is last monents for Russia to realize oil dollars. The question is: using for better life standards or to war. Russia could go on by selling fertilizes, it would be nice.
