Your Old Comrade, Ukraine is visibly losing. The counter offensive has failed. Yet you still believe all this lying nonsense propaganda? Ukraine is close to capitulation. Zelensky's days are numbered.

Four days ago: another deliberate attack on civilians.

“This is the Russian playbook of war. That's how their warfare looks. Attacks against civilians, terror against people, just usual, ordinary people.”

Ukrainian politician and the People's Deputy of Ukraine, Oleksiy Honcharenko, says this attack shows the "barbarism" eastern Ukraine is facing.

Today, we bring you updates from the front lines, analyse the continuing strikes on Ukrainian ports in the region south-west of Odesa, and hear from our senior Foreign Correspondent Roland Oliphant who was on the ground in Izmail, Ukraine.

No, Loki. Look at a map, and you see that Russia is getting pushed out. Time to be realistic for once.

Putin is also not the "James Bond" and "strategic genius" some fools here seems to think he is. He is a bumbling Mussolini with a lacklustre career as a mere pencil-pusher.

Vladimir Putin’s successful career as a KGB operative was ‘built on a lie,’ and intelligence interventions by the Russian president are leading to big mistakes on the world stage, according to Calder Walton, an intelligence and national security expert.
He was nothing more than a liar with a head start. Now the truth has caught up with him:

When Russia invaded Ukraine last year, the myth of its military capabilities in the European theatre – still potent thanks to mental images of Red Army tanks storming across Eastern Europe in the dying days of World War Two – was shattered overnight.

But we should not have been so surprised. For years, Russia has distorted its history, contorted it so profoundly, that we, just like millions of ordinary Russians, can no longer measure modern Russia according to the most important metric: reality.

In this episode of Defence in Depth, Francis Dearnley, The Telegraph’s Assistant Comment Editor, examines three of the most significant corruptions of historical truth frequently proclaimed in Putin’s Russia, and their implications.

Both sides are having trouble with ammunition shortages, but for different reasons. Ukraine lacks 155mm grenades and western factories simply aren't making enough of it since they still operate in peacetime production voleume. In case of Russia, logistics that's getting destroyed via UKR artilery is major issue. RF has enough ammunition but getting it to the frontline is getting increasingly difficult especially if US will sent ATACMS long range missiles to blow up storages deep behind theatre of operations.

Both sides greatly exhausted their assault units potential and new recruits will be of low quality, usable only for defensive operations.

End of war is yet not in sight.

But the West has the capacity to scale up production. Not so for Russia. We in the West, are not in the war and thus there has been no straining of human resources.

Correct. However, it's going rather slow. RF however can also scale up production, but with great economic cost thus I doubt it will happen. They will more likely turn to buy from North Korea or Iran.

On August 13, Russian troops fired warning shots in front of a merchant vessel in the Black Sea before boarding the ship.

Ukraine said it was a clear violation of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and called on the international community to take action.

It was a worrying episode but Kyiv had an even bigger problem - Russia was entirely within its rights to act as it had.

And there’s more. Having pulled out of the grain deal, Russia is desperate for the world to think they’ve put a blockade on Ukrainian ports when actually none exists.

In this episode of Defence in Depth, Dominic Nicholls, The Telegraph’s associate editor, explains how Russia is trying to secure a de facto naval blockade of Ukraine without taking on the responsibility for enforcing one; and, even if Russia had the means to hold a blockade, why Vladimir Putin wouldn’t want to upset his friend in Beijing.

I don't need to mention western weapons are utterly (in 90% of cases) superior to Russian made things. However, willingless to end the war quickly isn't there yet. Real toys are yet to be given, and we will see about that. Quantity matters too.

No. I am against both sides by the way, it's a civil conflict. The slavic tech is superior by 100 years but it's embargoed to oblivion. For it to stay that way, they will cannibalize the country for the next centuries.
