How the fuck can someone "win" a war when a territory the size of the state of Wisconsin has been taken over by the enemy and in which still holds it?, and could perhaps take a bit more of it in the coming months?

They will. They will also take back Crimea, Donbas, and probably will advance further into Russia to liberate Kuban & connect with Georgia.
