With good reputation and relations he could stop deploying nukes in Ukraine. With nukes in Ukraine Russia can answer with nukes in Cuba if that is possible today since I don't know what is the US influence there these days. NATO is not only the US and other European NATO countries can reject nukes being deployed in Ukraine for a greater good especially if they see Russia as a relieable partner. Even if Ukraine enters NATO NATO wouldn't deploy nukes in Ukraine because it would be obvious who is an agressor, especially I repeat if Russia continued to develop good economic ties with western Europe. Why aren't there nukes in Poland? Are there? Isn't Poland in NATO? Nukes are located in western European countries to my best knowledge.
