The man in this photo is Lavrentiy Beria, who was the head of NKVD (1938-1946) under Stalin. The NKVD was the direct predecessor of the KGB. The image was posted in the Wiki article about Beria. The article linked to below says that Beria sent thousands (millions?) into the gulag system.

Youre totally wrong, Putin is not bolshevik, the russian communist party is in opposition, and they criticized Putin many times. Do you really belive that a billionaire and his oligarch system can be communist? Putin reminds me rather the old czars. The Day of Victory and such celebrations are connect to the russian patriotism too.
I dont speak russian so i watched what do the hungarian communist leader Gyula Thürmer think about Putin and this war, he has a youtube channel:

He has talked with the belorussian, ukrainian and russian communists too and his opinion is very negative on Putin, and he want to stay neutral in this conflict.
