Hungary is the most pro-russian european country along with Serbia. It's not secret that Orbán want to annex Subcarpathia, if the military situation escalates in East Ukraine, or the ukrainians provoke the hungarian minority, then its very possible that the hungarian army will invade Subcarpathia.

Who cares the impotent EU? If the military conflict spread around the region, then it means we will live in a very different Europe, just like after WW1 or WW2, including different borders or alliances. Hungary must prepare for everything.
Official task of the hungarian army is tackling the migration from Ukraine, and countering a possible ukrainian attack. This happened in the 90' years in the Yugoslav War when serbian aricrafts bombarded some hungarian village, and the hungarian army was mobilized, in the parlament there were serious debates about the hungarian intervention in Serbia, the situation is same nowadays. If the ukrainian nationalists will provke then the hungarian army will answer.
