Hamshen ethnography?

Hello, brothers.

What's the story behind this group? I don't remember hearing anything about them from my folks before I saw them on the net.

I don't know much but they convert Muslim after 15th century after Ottoman conquest. They're basically Muslim Armenian but closer to Lazs than Armenians. People confuse them sometimes with Lazs.

This particular dance (and their outfits) is almost identical to ours, Tromahton/Tinahton/Lazikon, the dance, according to our own oral tradition, originates with the Greco-Tzans (Colchians).
