Does this mean that European wolves are less dog admixed than the Middle eastern and Chinese ones? I read that originally all wolves were grey or greyish, but nowadays dark or black wolves exist due to dog admixture.
Dogs sometimes mix with Coyotes and Jackals too but the offsprings can suffer from infertility and other problems.

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.

Yes it seems they are a bit more removed from other dogs than other wolves, we can see that each type of wolves go sligtly into the direction of more moderns, respective to their continents, like China Wolves to modern Asiatic Chow Chow or Dingos, while European wolves are still the most distant and in a tightly packed core cluster. I would have imagined Malamutes and huskies were closer to wolves, maybe their look is deceiving.

Wolves and Coyotes apparently had periods of isolation and intermix. In a way they are to dogs what Neanderthals and Denisovans were to humans, except they didn't go extincts.

What i would like to see is this relationship in more details of modern dog breeds to each others. Especially races like Maremma and Great Pyrenean, i think they are related based on look at first sight, but have a bit different build and the latter look more mastiff while the Maremmas type is like a giant fluffy Labrador.

The Braco is the dog with the most wolf-like skull.

Seeing Canaanites close to Samoyeds in a PCA is weird.
