Wrong. Serbs of southern and eastern Serbia are mostly native, only minority are descendants of settlers from Kosovo and Dinaric regions. Šumadija was colonized by Serbs from various regions in 18th and 19th century, and descendants of that colonists are much numerous than natives. Half of Šumadians are Dinarics who settled in 18th and 19th century (mostly from Montenegro and Herzegovina), significant part are descendants of settlers from Kosovo who arrived in the same period as Dinarics.
Map according to research of Jovan Cvijić (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jovan_Cvijić) about origin of Serbian population in early 20th century when Vojvodina was under AH and Kosovo and Raška in Ottoman empire.
Pink -- Dinaric colonists (from Montenegro, Herzegovina, Raška, Bosnia, Dalmatia etc)
Red -- enclaves of natives among descendants of Dinaric colonists
Green -- colonists from Kosovo, Metohija and Prizren area
Yellow -- south Morava-Vardar population (native in the south and colonists in more northern areas)
Dark blue -- Timok-Braničevo population
Orange-Red -- Shop-Torlak population
Grey -- Vlach colonists
