Default Why do rather average looking people get compliments on their looks?

Just one example . I found this guy's videos looking up the Anglican church. I noticed in comments people saying how" attractive " he is. Comments like "you're gorgeous ". Maybe I'm not good at judging mens looks, but to me, he is rather average. What makes him attractive, and not another average person like me? He's ok but not model good looks. I don't get it. Is it possible these are paid for comments?

He's fairly good looking, comes across as earnest and charismatic, too, plus he's fishing in a small pond - not many commonwealth white males who are young, reasonable and religious these days. He's ticking a lot of boxes.

Why you're obsessed over comparing yourself to other men? That persistent insecurity hurts you.

    This is correct.
He looks genuine and content. Those qualities are noticed even when they are not actively noticed. Someone is just more attractive when they look comfortable in their own skin.

    +1.

Meade, I ask this with the utmost sincerity: Have you ever sought psychiatric assistance? You’d greatly benefit, at the very least, from talk therapy.

Do you get off from people dissing you on your looks? Or is he your latest crush? That guy is YOUNG, SLIM, GOOD LOOKING, BLUE EYES, charismatic, not needy, on a mission, a new father, not asking for compliments. I could go on.

You’re seeing those people thru your own gaze. If they get complimented by those people then they have a feature that those people like. There is nothing complicated about this. For example I don’t have a female gaze and I didn’t know what’s attractive to them before my black pill days. I would always be confused why a certain pretty boy looking fag (by my opinion) got so much girls.

But you don’t get compliments because you look like a fat lesbian chick named Michelle

A person needs to realize they have a problem before psychological help will be of any use. A person focuses on looks usually at the expense of other more permanent characteristics. Once their looks start to fade, instead of becoming more accepting of aging, they double down on it and keep picking fights with Father Time. They end up becoming desperate, needy, and ultimately pathetic.

Getting them to see that is the difficult part. A person is a certain age, whether they choose to accept it or not.

Most therapists are women who recite what they learned in a book but don’t actually know anything they are talking about or how to help you. I doubt it will help him

Therapy is more hit than miss. The minimum to be effective is a person needs to know what areas of their life need improving and find a therapist or psychiatrist who specializes in those areas. Sometimes an inspirational book or finding a person who has conquered the same issues is just as good. I have a friend who went from lethargy to being a productive person by reading a Phil Jackson book. I don't get it at all, but I won't argue with it. Listening to his Phil Jackson quotes is better than his bitching and moaning about how life has been unfair to him as he pisses his life away in the bedroom he grew up in.
