Yeah, the western fringe of NW Europe gets higher Yamnaya than me. My imagination: This will be because the steppe pastoralists expanded into areas that were not that suitable for agriculture (Scotland, Ireland), hence sparsely populated, and therefore could become a somewhat bigger proportion of the population.

Your WHG is higher because of your Balto-Slavic element.

Then I'll wait for the Eastern Europeans to beat me. Some will likely do. But it will not be that simple. You'll see.

Since WHG on G25 peaks in Lithuanians/Latvians, and in Estonians/Finns it already gets lower, it's basically arguing who is more Lithuanian/Latvian

I regard this calculator wrong anyhow. As my separate WHG-EHG calculator shows it notably overestimates WHG, because a surplus of EHG compared to the chosen EHG/CHG mixture in Yamnaya Samara will be pushed into WHG as the best fitting component (EHG is not provided). But let it be how it is, the value of this calculator is it's commonality and thus comparability compared to that everybody is using another "best" calculator.

I don't think that it overestimates WHG. Proportions of Samara / Anatolia / WHG from Global25 are usually consistent with those from official studies.

For example this is what Polish Bell Beakers (from Samborzec) get in official study - if I remember correctly in G25 they get very similar proportiions:

- 46% Yamnaya Samara
- 38% Anatolia Neolithic
- 16% WHG
