Thread: How do you deal with unstable mental health?

    Default How do you deal with unstable mental health?

    We all face unstable mental health at some point in our lifetime and find a way to cope or not. When Im facing through mental health crisis, I usually write down on the notepad to improve myself better, accept the problems, how to solve them and I go to gym to train my mental health stronger.


    What about you, how do you cope with it?

    I'd read a book (preferably philosophy) or watch a movie (skip terror, thrillers or related).

    I distract myself with something that prevents me from falling into obsessive or recurring thoughts about my problems or worries.

    Physical exercise helps a lot, as you say, going to the gym, or as I do, doing farm work after work as entertainment, or simply taking long walks in the countryside.

    Whatever it takes to get away from the problem, until I see it far away from me. Once we get that, the problem gets smaller and less threatening, I have a better overview of that problem, and I can handle it without feeling threatened by it. then I analyze it, and I decide whether to solve it or simply let time pass to forget it.

    It depends on the book, because there are books that can make you delve deeper into what worries you at that moment.

    In my case, I do the opposite, I try to do things that don't force me to think, at least to think deeply.

    And above all, I do not make important decisions if I notice that I am not as mentally stable as I should be.
