They have a similar bike infrastructure (picture with bikes very well applies to both countries) but Denmark has much better healthcare, higher purchasing power and central heating (so familiar to people from ex USSR)

^^^I would also chose Denmark. Less racially diverse than Netherlands (but quickly catching up unfortunately), more space and less packed, more laid back mentality.

Denmark, the scenery is beautiful and more similar to eastern England, the Netherlands is too flat generally and too overtended(not wild enough) also the people seem saner(though their EU membership does puzzle me for such a rich country) the only downside is that Denmark has less lively/pretty towns and cities though Copenhagen is much more appealing to me than overtouristed Amsterdam.

Totally what I noticed too. There seems to be barely any nature in Netherlands, it looks almost 100% cultivated. Denmark does have some untouched nature at least.

    Agree as well very much.

Well, both are a great places, both seem to share many stuff like: being protestant, speaking a funny sounding language, flat countries with sea access, both were powerful in the past, both have muh gas resources, both have pretty bland cuisine if we take out foreign influences(sorry not sorry), terrible weather, high obsession with cycling and envinronmental issues.

On the other hand Denmark is pretty expensive even comparing to NL(at least according to sources I checked). Denmark outside of Copenhagen is not that fancy(at least at the first look), not to mention Dutch were able to literally take the land out of the sea, have their own style in architecture, they have stronger impact on art in general than Denmark. Netherlands also seems to be more strategically located with two biggest European ports in Rotterdam and Amsterdam

It's not like Netherlands is perfect, I just see less disadvantages in Netherlands than in Denmark. Netherlands may be rapidly struck by flood, also most of the glory comes to Amsterdam and Rotterdam, and there is a problem with accommodation as I heard from some distant family that migrated there

In short, I appreciate both but I rather turn to the Netherlands

It is more undulating, the Netherlands is pancake flat, Denmark is more like Essex or Suffolk in England.

Denmark has many islands, which is a plus for me.
