Nice find for us. On a side note, i heard Houellebecq sells quite some books in Germany. Is he active somehow in the medias? He kinda got shadow canceled here since his last publications, specially the dystopian one "Soumission".

Houellebecq soumission was even produced as a movie here, doesnt seem he get cancelled. Hes noone I see in any positive light, his islam rejection is based on his atheist hedonistic ideals, I rather have Shariah than the lifeless materialistic neoliberal present.

I am part of a network called EinProzent and they have a book publisher that even bought the german publishing rights of Onfray. I doubt Houellebecq would do that.

Alright i didn't know it was to that point, also just noticed Soumission topped the charts in Germany back then. He's more of a pure writer/essayist, i really liked "La possibilité d'une île" (i guess translate into "the possibility of an island") but he s not really a thinker politically. He just got a little too close to a scenario that could actually happen here, knowing how easily corrupted morally the political class could become to maintain any sort of power. It alarmed the medias how realtistically his arc of a story depicted the shift towards an Islamic Republique. Never saw him again since that book released.

I should warn you Onfray is a repented leftist, he has "evolved" a lot lately to the point he is classified as right wing now and everything that comes with it as usual (antisemite all that jazz). Much deeper and darker thinker however, when he loses for a moment his old reflexes.

When I said on another thread that American intellectuals are very weak compared to French ones, Alain de Benoist is one of prime example of right-wing thinker

Benoist was inspired by the German Konservative Revolution and mostly Ernst Jünger.

    I agree, without a doubt.

German and French intellectuals and political theories are miles ahead of Americans.
